The shell sits at a slim 12 cm when closed for low drag and quiet highways, then pops to camp in about 45 seconds. Four-season seals, UV 50+ fabric and PU5000 waterproofing keep the elements out.

At 43 kg, the STEALTH is NZ's lightest hard-shell rooftop tent — which means it fits more vehicles than most hard-shells, including smaller 4WDs and wagons. Two numbers on your vehicle matter, and they're different:

Dynamic roof load — the limit while driving. You need at least 45 kg, and 50 kg or more gives you comfortable margin once racks and crossbars are counted. Most vehicles with quality racks clear this easily.

Static roof load — the limit while parked, which is what carries you and your gear once the tent is open. This is usually far higher than the dynamic rating, and it's why rooftop tents work at all.

Your roof racks or crossbars have their own rating too, often lower than the vehicle's. Your real limit is the lowest of the three.

Check your owner's manual for both figures — don't rely on figures found online. Not sure? Get in touch with your make, model and year before you order and we'll go through it with you.

With the standard hardware, it's a two-person lift and a few bolts.

If you want it off in minutes without tools, add our Quick Release Tent Bracket — over-center latches, self-aligning puck, cable lock included.

Yes — with our slimline crossbars fitted. They bolt into the T-channels on the shell and carry up to 50 kg. Sold separately.

We absolutely love our Stealth roof top tent on our Jimny! The set up and pack up are honestly so quick and easy. The mattress is also comfy- we’ve had great nights’ sleep in it! As jimny owners, we couldn’t be happier with the fit. The length is just right, so it doesn’t overhang like other rtt. It’s looks great and of high quality built.

Absolutely loving this roof top tent. It’s lightweight which makes it perfect for my Jimny, super easy and quick to set up, and the quality feels really premium. It’s also surprisingly comfortable to sleep in, definitely made camping trips more enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

Coromandel trip

Just got back from a 7-night Coromandel mission in the Stealth. We had 2.5 days of heavy rain and 35-knot winds, and the tent performed epic. No water ingress at all. Seriously impressive.

Stealth is hands-down the easiest rooftop tent I’ve used. Setup is insanely quick — just pop it up and it’s ready. That time saving makes a huge difference, especially arriving late or packing up in the morning. Fits my LandCruiser 200 perfectly and feels solid and well-balanced on the roof — you can tell it’s designed to stay streamlined while driving.

If you want effortless camping with minimal setup time, this is the one.

Just fitted the Stealth tent to my Subaru Forester and loving it. Already used it for two nights up north. Super light and no change in handling. Mesh windows = good airflow.
